Method 2: Use the on-screen Urdu keyboard

Sometimes you want to place a specific letter, insert a diacritic, or type a word whose Roman spelling keeps converting incorrectly. That is what the on-screen keyboard is for.

The layout is phonetic, meaning each Urdu letter sits on the English key that sounds like it:

• k → ک
• b → ب

Hold or tap Shift to reach the retroflex and emphatic letters — T gives ٹ, D gives ڈ, R gives ڑ.

Direct mode
