Your privacy is central to how Urdu Keyboard is built. This policy explains what is and is not collected when you use the site.

The short version

Everything you type stays on your device. Transliteration, the keyboard, the converters and all exports run entirely in your browser. Your text is never sent to, stored on, or processed by our servers.

What we store on your device

To make the editor useful across visits, your current draft and preferences (theme, keyboard settings, text size) are saved in your browser’s local storage. This data lives only on your device, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it any time through your browser settings.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) to understand which features are used, but only after you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner. If you decline, no analytics scripts are loaded. These tools collect aggregate usage data and never receive the text you type.

Advertising

The site may display ads through Google AdSense to keep it free. Advertising cookies are only set with your consent. You can manage ad personalisation through Google’s Ad Settings.

Cookies

Essential functionality uses no tracking cookies. Analytics and advertising cookies are optional and controlled entirely by your choice in the consent banner, which you can change at any time.

Voice typing

Voice typing uses your browser’s built-in Web Speech API. When you use it, your browser may send audio to its own speech service (for example, Google’s) to transcribe it. That processing is governed by your browser vendor’s privacy policy, not ours. We never receive or store your audio.

Children’s privacy

The site is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
